Spencer Hatcher has been painting and sketching virtually all of her life. Even in high school she experimented with pencil and watercolor, acrylic and oil pastel on a variety of surfaces. She had a unique vision and was constantly looking for the best way to communicate that vision.  After graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2000, she opened and maintained a retail location to showcase her artwork in Mobile, Alabama - Upham Gallery. Though she closed its doors a few years later, she continued to paint in her spare time. 

For the past several years, Spencer has worked from her studio at St. Joan of Arc along with other noted local artists in Mobile.  Spencer has sold hundreds of works; her most popular pieces have been her nautical and botanical subjects.
